REGISTERING TO VOTE: US Residents may register to vote at Town Hall, you need to have your driver license with you.   There is an application to fill out and once the Supervisors of the Checklist meet then if approved you will be added to the Checklist.   If you are a naturalized citizen you will need proof by providing the certificate with the Date, and Court where you were naturalized.

If you are a current registered voter then it is too late to change party affiliation

Undeclared voters may vote during the primary, you declare your affiliation at the polls then after voting, you may return to undeclared by signing the book before leaving the polls.   

REGISTRATION RENEWALS - may done by mail or the drop box in front of town hall  with your renewal notice along with payment of 1 check made out to the Town of Meredith. Please include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. You may also do renewals via online til the 25th of the Month for that Month's Expiration from the "Home" page click on "Pay Bills" and follow the directions from the 3rd party system and we will mail your registrations...

New vehicle registrations - Please bring in a copy of the CTA from the dealership.  if you need Contactless email a copy of the CTA we will give you a quote and have you mail in or put in the drop box the payment with the paperwork and we will mail out the registration and plates. kparker@meredithnh.org

Transfer vehicle registrations  if the vehicle is from a NH Dealer bring in the CTA from the dealer and the original registration of the vehicle you are transferring from.  if necessary contactless : email a copy of the CTA and the registration of the vehicle you are transferring from, we will give you a quote and have you mail in the payment with the paperwork and we will mail out the updated registration. kparker@meredithnh.org

 New vehicle or Transfer  -  with Private Sale vehicles, we need the title signed over to you and if you are transferring plates the original registration from the vehicle that you are transferring. 

 Duplicate registrations can be obtained by filling out the attached form signed  and bring in along with $18 made out to the Town of Meredith. or send in With a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for us to return to you.  RDMV 111

Boat Registrations - IN PERSON bring in the old registration or the bow number with your driver license. If you are doing a renewal for a boat registration and have the renewal from the State of NH , we only need 1 of the slips and you need to add 5.00 for the agent fee. You may do it by mailing it into Town of Meredith, 41 Main Street, Meredith, NH 03253 or there is a drop box out in front of Town Hall.  Make checks payable to the Town of Meredith. Please include a self addressed envelope.

New Boat Registrations - IN PERSON we need the bill of sale for the boat along with your driver license.

 Dog licensing - send a check in the amount of 6.50 for an altered dog or 9.00 for non-altered. If you are 65 or older 2.00 for 1 dog.  With a SASE Please call for any questions. Dog licenses were due by April 30th late fees are 1.00 beginning June 1st

Vital Records  Birth, Marriage, Death, Divorce Certificates

 Marriage Licensing – If neither of you have been married before then we only need your photo id's and you will need to know the full names of your parents and what state or country they were born in.  Once you fill out the form we will key it into the system   We will print out a test copy and have you check it for accuracy, the fee to apply is 50.00 and you will leave with the license.  If you wish to apply for Certified copies after the marriage takes place you may order them at that time.   Most couples request 2 certified copies.  The fee would be a separate fee of 25.00 all fees are payable to the Town of Meredith. If either party has been married we need a copy of the dissolution of the most recent marriage.   (Divorce decree or Death Certificate)

we need a copy of the registration of the vehicle it is going on along with Payment of $20.
