Assessing Department

Mission:         

The primary mission of the Assessing Department is to ensure that all property within the Town is assessed fairly and in accordance with the New Hampshire Laws governing taxation. Toward that end, the department conducts various practices to ensure and equitable distribution of the tax burden.

The Assessing Office is here to assist the property owners of Meredith. The staff is available to answer questions and help citizens through the assessing process; such as tax abatements, credits and exemptions, access to tax maps, tax rate history, and the on-line assessment database.
